JOB PURPOSE
Supports Senior Treasury and Equity Officer to review and analyse financial statements, prepare pitch materials as well as market and economic updates, conduct valuations and deal structuring for Mergers & Acquisitions, debt and equity capital markets transactions.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)
Departmental Planning and budgeting
Participates in the preparation of and development of the departmental workplan and budget.
Financial Analysis
Analyse financial statements
Perform company valuations using various valuation methods.
Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and decision-making.
Analyse investment opportunities (Investment Appraisals) and make recommendations.
Debt and Equity Capital Raise
Implement strategies for raising debt and equity capital.
Identify optimal debt and equity structures.
Conduct research to identify potential lenders/investors and favourable terms.
Prepare comprehensive debt financing proposal and investment proposals/business cases.
Develop presentations and documentation for potential lenders and investors.
Coordinate due diligence processes, providing necessary financial information and documentation.
Assists in providing input for preparation of IPO prospectus and Book Build.
Propose strategies for Deal Structuring in M&A transactions.
Assists in the preparation of Information/Issue Memoranda for bond issuances and private placements.
Maintain relationships with potential and existing investors/lenders.
Treasury Management
Reviews company cashflow position and prepares recommendations for prudent cash management.
Ensure compliance of the IDC Group of companies to the Group Treasury Management Policy.
Review Group Treasury Management Policy reports and develop recommendations for improvement in subsidiary cash and debt management.
Monitor and manage daily cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs and optimize surplus funds.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and implement strategies for maintaining appropriate liquidity levels.
Prepare regular treasury reports, including cash positions, liquidity forecasts, and risk management summaries.
Support in managing the company’s debt portfolio, including loan agreements, and monitor interest rate exposures.
Facilitate Forex and Financial Security trades
Increased Efficiency
Drafts memos or professional letters for review by supervisor
Ensure completion of department or project deliverables to agreed quality/standards
Identify financing mechanisms and developing various frameworks and strategies to implement Treasury Capital structure objectives as assigned.
Enhanced Entity Risk Management
List identified risks and proposals for mitigations for submission to department risk champion
Enhanced Employee engagement and performance
Timely submission of completed performance contract to supervisor.
Suggest and propose initiatives to support corporate values suggested to supervisor.
Ensure submission of completed Performance Appraisal form to supervisor.
Periodically submits required reports relating to mentorship and training/coaching programmes to the department in charge of Human Capital.
Furtherance of Company’s Interests
Exercise the powers and duties generally exercised by Treasury and Equity Officer in the furtherance of the interests of the company as may be authorised and or delegated by the Supervisor.
Health and Safety
Take reasonable care for own health and safety as well as that of other employees, clients, and others as may be required from time to time.
Meetings
Attend staff/departmental meetings.
Any other Duties
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL/DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Professional Qualification:
Grade 12 School Certificate
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, and/or equivalent Professional Qualification in relevant field from reputable institution.
Relevant Professional Membership
Minimum Relevant Work Experience:
2 years’ relevant work experience or similar position.
Skill Specifications:
Excellent problem solving and presentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders
Data management and record keeping.
Proficient in using computers
